Macro
This type of file, also sometimes called a script, or batch file, contains computer instructions in a human-readable form. When this file is run, your computer converts its contents into normal computer instructions, then executes those instructions.
Macro's often are used to automate repetitive operations, such as backup up files or formatting documents. Many macros are written by ordinary users, as opposed to other types of executable files, which are usually created by professional programmers.
